Brain Bites Group

Your organization measures almost everything except how your people decide

Decision-making is the highest-leverage capability in any organization. It is also the least examined. Brain Bites Group makes it measurable and trainable.

Nobody trains the thing that actually goes wrong

Organizations hire for skills, review for outcomes and train for process. Almost none of them look at how a person actually decides when the information is incomplete, the pressure is real and the clock is running.

So when something goes badly, the response is a new policy or a different person. Both assume the failure was in the rules or in the individual. Often it was neither. It was a decision made under conditions nobody had ever practiced.

The capability was invisible before it failed, which is why it keeps failing the same way.

Decision-making is not a personality trait. It is a set of competencies, which means it can be trained.

The Decision Intelligence Framework identifies five competencies that describe how a person approaches a decision. Together they predict performance when the stakes are high and the information is incomplete. Each one is observed through behavior rather than self-report. Each one improves with structured practice.

Situational Awareness. Strategic Mindset. Sense of Agency. Reflective Synthesis. Rapid Decision Making.

Reading the situation, weighing the consequences, owning the call, learning from it then moving when the clock forces it.

There is no right answer to any single scenario. What gets measured is the pattern of choices across many of them.

Three signatures. No two people decide the same way.

The framework is the subject of United States provisional patent application 64/056,023, filed May 3 2026.

Two things have to happen, in this order

Measuring a capability nobody has looked at is the first step, not the last. What follows is the work.

Measure

You cannot improve what you have never assessed. Our assessments put people into realistic scenarios and score how they decide, not what they say about how they decide.

The Decision Intelligence Assessment is open to anyone and takes about eight minutes. It measures the five competencies in an individual.

Team Strategy asks a different question: whether a team is built well. Where profiles reinforce each other and where they collide. In limited testing, producing a composition guide for the team you actually have.

For leadership groups, Decision Architecture Mapping maps where an organization's highest-consequence decisions get made. Available through conversation rather than sign-up.

Train

Two courses are open for enrollment now. Creative Focus Pro, Workforce Edition, for emerging leaders and teams. Creative Focus Pro, Nursing Track, built specifically for clinical decision-making under load.

We also build custom programs for organizations that need the framework applied to their own decisions rather than to a general audience.

Both run on the same framework, so a nurse and a warehouse supervisor are being measured against the same five competencies in situations that are actually theirs.

Document Intelligence

Most bad decisions are made on documents nobody had time to read properly. Document Intelligence reads any document you have to act on and reports what it actually says, what it does not say, then what you need to notice before you commit.

A contract. A proposal. A policy nobody has opened since it was signed. A report someone needs an answer on by Friday. It handles one document or a stack of them. It also holds up on the eighty-page solicitation where missing a single clause costs more than the reading time.

A decision briefing listing what a proposal demands of the reader, including an unvalidated volume assumption and silent renewal terms.
A real analysis. The proposal is fictional; the reading is not.

Who this is for

Employers and workforce boards training emerging leaders who are about to make decisions nobody prepared them for.

Healthcare organizations where clinical judgment under load is the difference between a good shift and an incident report.

Nonprofits and institutions deciding which funding to pursue, needing to read a solicitation properly before committing months to it.

Professional and continuing education looking for a decision curriculum with a defined methodology behind it.

Start with the assessment, or start with a conversation

The assessment is free, takes about eight minutes and shows you what the framework actually measures. If you would rather talk about what this looks like inside your organization, we can start there instead.
